How to ADD AN INSTRUMENT to the ICS 3000 module using Chromelian software with the PDA-100 as an example. The Chromelian manual suggests that every time it is rebooted it will automatically scan for new devices and add them, but in case that doesn't work (which, it didn't for me), than this method may work.

1. Select the Chromelian Configuration Program (Under Start;Programs;Chromelian)
2. Select the timebase to which you would like to add the device (which you should already have turned on). The Timebase for this situation was ICS 3000 (there should be a red clock icon next to the title "ICS 3000")
3. Right click on the timebase and select "Add Device"
4. Select the manufacturer (this case it is Dionex and the subcategory is "Modules").
5. Select the appropriate device (PDA 100).
6. A box with multiple tabs will appear. You can select options on each of these tabs according to you heart's desires, but the one important thing is to select the "Query for Device ID" under the "General" tab. This option will search connections to see if this device is connected. If it is connected properly (and turned on) then it will show up as a selectable device under a dropdown bar next to the "Query for Device ID" button after the search is complete.
6. When you are done, select "OK." A tab for the instrument should then show up on the Chromelian control panel next time you open the program.
